Message from Chad, the President/Pastor of GAMe…

“Who is Great Adventure?”  Well, let me say first that if you happen to be young (18 to 35), fun (or desire to become fun), want to know God (better or for the first time), would enjoy having some Great friends………..then you just landed on the GREATEST SITE EVER!

I’m Chad Peterson, the Pastor at GAMe, and as you can tell, our site is under construction, but I wanted to give you a very honest view of our ministry, where we are at and where we are going.  GAMe is certainly Christian, and I can’t emphasis the “Christ” part of that enough!  We consider knowing Christ the “Greatest” of all the adventures we do!  Our Tuesday Night Bible Studies down at 1314 Jones Street in the Old Market is where we do that every week.  Right now we are going through Hebrews and we just started!  So now is a great time to check us out!

I’ll admit we are known for some pretty cool events!  From Ski Trips in the winter, to Rafting and Tubing in the summer we do some big events, but almost every week it seems we have smaller “informal” events, like volleyball (got our own court!), and ultimate frisbee, boating, biking, and so much more!!!

Now don’t let all the Adventure and outdoor talk scare you off if your just not into that.  I happen to be excited about Adventure, but our ministry is made up of every type of person imaginable!  We have over 50 different churches represnted EACH week at our ministry!  That’s a lot of people…….and let me tell you that makes for some interesting Bible Studies!

Now…..that one question that stirs in many peoples minds when you hear “singles” or “young professionals”……is this some sort of Meat Market?  Let me laugh out loud and say “HECK NO!”  You walk in the door the very first time and you can tell right away you are home!  It’s one big family the focus is on Christ, Serving, and Community.  Sure, eventually people have been known to meet someone, date, and even get married!!  (OK, OK, we have had some amazing couples come out of our ministry, but that just isn’t the focus)

So, if you can muster up the guts to come down, I personally promise you will be delighted, grow, and find much more then you expected!  (If you don’t, we offer a “money back guarantee”…of course we don’t charge anything to attend…..so that’s a pretty safe bet on our part!  But doesn’t that make you feel more comfortable coming?)
